Somoco Ghana Limited is the sole partner and distributor to the World’s No.1 and largest 3 wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto, trading in Boxer Motorbikes and Bajaj RE auto rickshaws in Ghana also known as Pragia.

Somoco Ghana, which is a subsidiary of the Mohinani Group has commissioned a new showroom and Spare parts shop at Madina in a bid to reach out to its customers residing in that part of the Greater Accra Region.

This new branch was opened just months after the Kasoa showroom was commissioned and it brings to 14 the number of retail outlets and offices Somoco has in Ghana.

Cutting the ribbon to open the showroom, the Executive Director of Somoco Ghana, Mr Nii Ayi Hyde said the company had a long standing vision of ensuring that its customers enjoy the numerous benefits that come with purchasing the company’s world-class vehicles.

He noted that the company had top-quality vehicles from a well-known brand, and urged Ghanaians to shop from Somoco to ensure their investments are worthwhile.

The Assembly man for the Area, Mr. Abdul speaking at the event, reiterated the need to take road safety and discipline amongst the youth seriously to improve the living conditions and reduce crime in the community. He continued that since the company has become operational in the community, he expects a huge turnaround and creation of more jobs for the youth as businesses like this continue to establish and flourish.

Weeks before the opening, Somoco Ghana Partnered with Ghana web on a Road safety walk to educate riders and other road users about best practices to ensure sanity on the streets of Accra. The Safety walk train dubbed β€œSpeed thrills but Kills’ moved from Legon, Atomic and East legon.

The General Manager of the Somoco, Shankar Sharma said Somoco Ghana Ltd wished to maintain its lead in the field of 2 wheelers and 3 wheelers, saying they hoped to achieve this by stretching their tentacles to every part of the country for easy accessibility of their products.
